On arrival at Phuket airport we booked into Bangkok airways for the flight through to Siem Reap in Cambodia. Johns planning was exact as predicted they booked us and our luggage all the way through.
the main difference is when we changed planes at Bangkok from an airbus to a T24 twin propeller plane, this only seated around 80 people when full but on our flight their was only 20 people. We set off on time and generally stayed quite close the the ground.
On arrival at Siem Reap airport which was small but had recently been built to an international standard, we were led to a very unusual entry procedure through immigration, you first handed your passport, photo, plus a 20 dollar note.
This then started a most parculiar spectacle of around 12 immigration sitting behind along a large counter with each persons parcel of documents being passed to the next officer in the line for his perticilar task to be completed befor being stamped
