Very hot in the swag last night must have been over 30 degrees! We had another fish, a swim, then had a good look around the Peninsula then we drove out to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm. Here we heard that the Broome - Cape Leveque Road was blocked due to a large bushfire so we decided to stay another hot night in the swag at the bush camp here. In the morning we did the Pearl Farm tour which was very interesting & had a refreshing swim in the Resort Infinity Pool....

Off to Cape Leveque, the road is bitumen for the first 30km or so then gravel & sand for the next 80 km then back to bitumen for the last 100km or so. We called into Beagle Bay Aboriginal Community & checked out the Sacred Heart Church (we were told it was worth a look) it really was quiet amazing The alter was made from pearl shells, there was mother of pearl inlaid around the windows & even on the floor. When we reached Cape Leveque we set up our swags at Kooljaman Resort then drove down onto a Eastern Beach. We a had a swim then I through the rods in, didn't catch anything decent only small stuff. We then drove around to the Western Beach which was beautiful with the red sandstone cliffs & white sand, we watched the sunset then back to camp.

Trish & I were off on our early morning walk to the beach when I noticed the guy walking in front of us, I said to Trish," that bloke reminds me of John Wallish" he turned around & b***** me it was John. John & his mate Steph were touring around the West Coast on their BMW motor bikes. It was great to catch up, they came around to our van for a BBQ tea & a few quiet ales. We just happened to be in Broome for the staircase to the moon, this only happens on a very low tide when the full moon rises over Roebuck Bay. It was worth a look, there was a Market afterwards which was great, had a awesome lamb curry (-:
