Finally we have arrived at Broome, we had been looking forward to getting here & doing not much for a few days. Well, this was a last minute decision but we were so glad we did it. We flew out of Derby Airport on a seaplane & landed in a bay not far from the falls about 40 minutes later. We arrived at Derby, checked out the Boab Prison Tree then went out to the Wharf, the tide was out, way out, the tides here are the 2nd biggest in the world,up to 12 metres it is quite amazing to see! We booked into the Kimberly Entrance CV Park, very hot here. Next day we headed out the Gibb River Road to Wynjana Gorge & Tunnel Creek, both these places were great & well worth the visit. The Gibb R Road was fine, 80-90km all the way.

We pulled into Fitzroy Crossing for lunch & went to the Visitor Centre, while we were there I noticed this guy who looked familiar, it turned out it was Red Beard. He's a great guy who had taken Trish & I on a Harley Trike Tour of Derby 18 years earlier, it was great to catch up with him & he still has the Harley!

Halls Creek was the roughest Park we have stayed in so far, there were dogs roaming around everywhere in the Park & around town, no Rangers up here or maybe they are sitting under a tree somewhere? A lot of drunk loud locals as well, I wouldn't recommend walking about after dark!
