We said goodbye to the Roxburgh's & headed for the Bungles. After leaving our van at the B Bungle CV Park we headed to the N Park, the road was actually quite good contrary to reports we had received. Woke around 4.30 am still not used to the time difference & bloody uncomfortable swag. Threw a line in but the Pentecost being a tidal river the current was really strong so gave up on that idea. We had a look around then headed off to El Questro, first stop was Zebedee Thermal Springs for a dip then onto Elquestro. Today we packed the swags & headed out the Gibb River Rd. First stop was Emma Gorge, north side of the Gibb, part of El Questro Station. We walked to the Gorge & had a swim, it's quite a nice spot, on the way back we encountered a whip snake on the track. Next stop was Home Valley Station, we stopped at the Station Resort for a bit, they have a great pool, bar & restaurant here, then we drove out & set up camp on the bank on the Pentecost River.

Today we did a day trip up to Wyndham via Valentine Springs, I dropped a line in at the Mambi Island boat ramp for an hr or so but no success.Then on to Malgu Billabong & the remains of the Old Telegraph Station which was on a hill overlooking the plateau, great view. Well it turns out Roxy & I are a good pair, I put my back out when my fancy camping recliner broke & I ended up on the ground then in bed for a couple of days recovering. A few days later Roxy hurt his back at work & was out of action for a coupe of days as well.
