I spent 4 nights in samui...and it rained horrifically for all four of them...so by the time we left...the roads were flooded and we didnt think we'd ever get off the island. I didnt really rate samui to be honest...a bit to western and touristy for me. Hey all I arrived in Koh Phangan on the 15th after a 12 hour overnight train journey from Bangkok to Surat Thani. From there I then took a coach to the pier and then a ferry to Koh samui and then a ferry to Koh Phangan...so i was basically travelling for about 18 hours.
