Hrm yes...there was plenty of things I left out of my last entry and after I did promise to catch you up I will follow on...
Did I tell you about Cadet Gavin? Oh Cadet Gavin a.k.a my shadow. He is a 20 year old New Zealander and is infatuated by me. Goodness knows why but I honestly cant handle much more of it. The poor kid is the most awkward boy I have ever met. We had one of the dancers birthday parties and he followed me around the entire time...not saying anything however he just stood next to me. When he does talk its hardly considered a conversation...you ask a question and you will get a one word answer while his face turns red. Last night there was a crew party up at one of the clubs on the ship. A couple of us girls were exhausted so we decided to just call it a night and not go. Nicely tucked up on my top bunk I get a call at 2 in the morning which I let ring through. I then get another one about 10 minutes later, then another and then another. IT WAS GAVIN! "I am just calling to see if you were coming to the party?" "I am sleeping!" "Oh so your not coming?" I would never be mean to the him as he heart is in the right place but last night was the final straw for both me and my room mate. I don't want to hurt his feelings but it has become a bit of a joke...poor guy! I haven't heard from him today but I will update you when I can!
Ok now dance costumes! Mom has been nagging at me to hear all about them so I will do my best to tell you all about the cool ones! The costumes on a whole are all incredible! In 'Piano Man' there are two costumes I am just in love with! There are four of us that do the song 'Calender Girls.' We walk on in sequined bikinis, silver sequined gloves, a massive diamonte strip choker and a sash. The thing that makes the costume is this massive balloon backpack we have! Imagine showgirls with the feather backpacks but replace the feathers with balloons! As soon as we walk out all the audience loves it! Its really hard to move across the stage without hitting the singers with the balloons but that's what makes it fun! Haha! The other costume that is awesome is in the "Liberace" section. The dance is more about the costume then the actual choreography. We wear these massive old fashioned gowns that were designed by the same lady that designed the dress for Isla Fisher in Enchanted and the dresses we were are very similar! They have huge hoops under the dresses which are so hard to walk in without getting your feet caught! We wear these huge head pieces that feel like they are about to fall off. We are told the dresses cost like $3000 each and to be honest they look awful close up but on stage they are really captivating!
The other costume I like the look of is in our new show "I Got The Music." Its the song Pussycat by Tom Jones which only has two of us in it. We wear this fully sequined black backless cat suit. The straps have crystals all the way down them. I always think how much mom would love it because the bling we wear is amazing! We have these HUGE crystal necklaces that are sooo heavy! We always wear massive diamonte earrings and chunky bracelets! Oh how my mom loves her bling! You can hardly move in it but it looks good which is all that matters! All the costumes are great...I always feel the part when I am in them! I will try take some pictures to show you. Describing them just doesn't do them any justice!
Well it is 4.30pm and I really wanted to have a nap before the show tonight. Premier of "I Got The Music"... how exciting! I will let you know how it goes!
Missing you all heaps!
Oh one more thing...mom booked her cruise in January!!! WHOOOOOOOOO!!!!! I am now counting down!
