This morning we were able to sleep in :) before we ate and set out to catch some fish. We caught many red belly piranhas with the line attached to a stick. The key was to pull up quick when you feel a bite so that you can hook the fish. It was nice because we were under the trees in the shade as Larry told us stories. After we finished fishing we came back to eat then hit the road again. However, we did have time to relax in the hammocks before we left to see the monkeys. It was very interesting watching the monkeys because they were just so full of energy. The black spider monkey was EVERYWHERE. He would hang at the end of a branch and call to us to give him more bananas and to let him on our boat. HE was the one to watch out for. The others were two or three small monkeys (one of them a cappuccino) and a howler monkey. Once we finished there, we left for the lodge. On our way back, another (yes this wasn't the first time, trust me) fish jumped into our boat. As Dad tried to stop it from flopping everywhere with his boot, a second fish flew in the same spot. Then there were two fish in the boat! So Dad grabs one by the tail and throws it out and the other Eleodoro (our boat driver) says he wants to cook. Dad puts the fish under a board in the boat to keep and soon after a third fish jumped into Eleodoro's lap! We put that fish in the same area as the last and thought for sure we'd catch another one, no such luck. The fish we did get were big though, and we even ate some for dinner. All round, today was good. More quiet and chill. I will miss the jungle very much...
