Arrived in Zambia around noon. The airport was another nightmare. 2 !/2 hours to check in and get to gate! Oh well...it was a nice flight and quick. After getting settled in my room I went straight to the falls. They called a "taxi" for me. He took me to an entrance for a private hotel! They had to call the gate and have him come back to get me. Then when we got to the main gate he was going to have me walk to the falls area cuz he didn't want to pay the car entrance fee (included in the fare). I ended up having to pay the fare to get in for the car and we were going to work it all out when he picked me up in 2 hours. He never arrived so I took a different cab who knew where he was going! The falls were so amazing!! There's so much water coming down you can't see all the way across. When you cross the bridge you get soaked from the spray. I mean SOAKED! I somehow ended up with a guide who was just telling me the best walkways to go on. Of course it ended up costing me a fortune but I guess it was worth it cuz there are gourds of paths and I would of never saw what I saw. It was quite a spectacular site. After getting back I tried to book the helicopter tour and the elephant safari but both are booked up! I was going to add a few nights to my stay and this lodge is booked up. So with not much else to do, I may head to Cape Town sooner than expected. Quite a pricey trip to stay only 2 days though. The Visa for Zambia was $135 and the flights will end up about $600. Really would like to stay longer. I have tomorrow to look around and see what I can find. I'll keep you updated.
