Hi folks not had time yet to take any photos as I arrived in the dark but so far so good. Arrived into HK international airport at 1900 tonight after a pretty comfortable flight. All started a bit harem scarem in Edinburgh with the snow blizzards but weather in London was fine. Made a later connection to HK by the skin of my teeth so unfortunately i have arrived without my luggage. Has been confirmed that is on a flight due in tomorrow and will be delivered to the hotel so fingers crossed. First impressions of HOng Kong is that the weather is very temperate and there are a hell of a lot of sky scrapers! My hotel is on Lantau Island which is totally separate from Hong Kong island, where all the action seems to be. It;s a 1/2 ferry crossig to HK island so plan to go out early tomorrow to see whats what. Have already had my first bowel of steaming noodles which I managed to eat totally with chop sticks. V impressed even with myself! My hotel is on the beach and has a an outdoor swimming pool so may be able to get a few lengths in tomorrow. Anyway, will take photos as my luggage arrives.
