I woke up this morning after having a nightmare about Chris, he was evil and wanted to kill me! It took me a moment to realise it wasn't real lol. Chris was already up and sitting on the sofa watching tv so I grabbed the blanket from the bed and curled up with him. It was so nice, it felt like we were in our own little place. When I tried to tell him about my dream none of it actually made sense and I felt pretty stupid, he just laughed at me.
After having some breaky we got ready and made our way to the main bus station to catch the express bus to Dream World. We passed the other theme parks Movie World and Wet n Wild, they didn't look very big or worth going to so we're glad we didn't bother buying tickets for them. Dream World though was big and we could already see the tops of some of the roller coaster rides before we got to the gates. We expected the park would be busy but there was only one family in the que! That had to be a good sign right? Or perhaps it was the fact that the park doesn't do family rates! The family of five had to pay $300 for the day! A very expensive day out! Our tickets cost us $79.99 each and the bus was $7 each one way, we definitely weren't visiting any other parks while we were here. It was lunch time by the time we got in the park, I was hungry so we decided to eat before planning our day around the park. Chris had three bowls of cereal for breakfast so you wouldn't think he was hungry but that made no difference of course. So we walked around and looked in a few places, we tried to be healthy by looking at the salads but they were $9! What a rip off! Then we went to the other end of the fat scale and checked in BillaBongs buffet restaurant, their buffet menu was $25 each! We should have risked bringing our own food to the park, we didn't get searched when we entered so we would have got away with it. In the end we chose a burger meal for $15 which was crap, but it filled a space so we ate it all up. Who ever sat at the table next to us must have also thought their meal was crap, they left it all in a box for those ugly scavenger birds to eat. The saddest thing about our meal was that we got at least sixteen meals from the $30 we spent in Coles. Anyway enough of moaning we actually had a really fun day! The park wasn't very busy so we got to go on all of the rides we wanted to go on without having to que for more than ten minutes. We were also lucky enough to bump into two zoo keepers walking a baby tiger cub around the park! The zoo keepers were allowing visitors to get a quick photo petting the cub for free! Which is pretty amazing considering we saw a leaflet at the entrance of the park advertising quick cuddles with the cub for $99! We both qued up and I got a shot of Chris with the cub first, then just as I was about to have my picture taken an asian man shoved in front of me! We could all see that the zoo keepers were a little peeved off with the guy, I didn't say anything and just waited. Then the cub got stressed out and wanted to walk. The zoo keepers calmed the cub down again and asked me to come forward, then the same man shoved in front of me again! That time they told the man to move, it was obvious he was becoming a pest. Finally I got a cute shot with the cub and we left the crowd. Suddenly the Asian mans wife came over to me and asked if she could have a photo with me! Usually I would but her husband peeved me off so I said no and walked away lol. I asked Chris what he thought they wanted a photo of me for, I won't write what he said lol.
I think our favourite part of the park was the Alien/Predator Vs you laser quest! It was so cool and fun! My scores were embarrassing the first time in so we had to go back just so I could improve them. We ended up playing four times in total lol. One guy on our team got so into it he was shouting out orders to me and Chris! His brother had an attitude problem and wacked my laser gun out of the way and moaned at Chris when he kept shooting him out. Maybe if the boy actually moved he wouldn't get hit so much, Chris just took the piss out of him!
So it was a great day in all and it knackered us both out. We caught the bus back and went to the supermarket before getting back to our apartment. Oh yeah we also grabbed a cheap hot choccy from Seven eleven, just so we could fill our pockets up with the free sugar lol yeah we know we know but it's free and Chris gets through so much tea!
When we got in the blanket from this morning was still on the sofa so we didn't bother having dinner but instead had yogurt and tea then finished the evening as we started the day, curled up in front of the tv.
