Wow, I can´t believe we´re getting on the plane going back home (well, at least to Europe) already! The last couple of days has been amazing. We´ve visited Ipanema and Copacabana, which, apparently was not crowded according to Brazilian standards. We´ve tried out Rios subway, had some more great food, met some new interesting people and had a lot of fun. After a rocky start here in Rio things have picked up like you can´t believe! Yesterday we went on a city tour seeing all the biggest sights. Included was the Christ statue, Sugar loaf (see picture), Tijuca national park, a modern cathedral and lunch on Copacabana ++. Our group was quite small and for once, well functioning. We also made a new friend, a law professor (yes professor, as in 11 years of university education, auch!) from the US who was really cool....

Okay, I take it back. Our luck has certainly not run out!! We´ve had an awesome day thanks to our new brazilian/british friend and AISECER coming to Oslo, Patrick. Seeing some of the best Rio has to offer, like Rio Sul shopping, an awesome traditional lunch and a beautiful sunset overlooking Ipanema beach (I would by the way recomend the girl from Ipanema as background music here) we forgot all about yesterdays trouble. Tomorrow we´re going on a tour off Rios...

Is Rio where our good luck runs out? Our day startet out great, we had time to sleep in a bit before going to breakfast. Getting back to our hotel in Buenos Aires, however, we met the most mafioso looking guy in the world. Seriously, I was sure this guy was taken right out of Sicily´s darkest corner. Wow, what a city!! Buenos Aires, as I´ve already said, is a huge mix of Latin America and southern Europe, but what more?? Well, let me see.. They have shoes here, and lots of it!! I think I could have filled up my entire backpack with fabulous, fabulous shoes from here.. Oh, well... Next time.. And the pizza here is to die for.
