Wow, what a city!!
Buenos Aires, as I´ve already said, is a huge mix of Latin America and southern Europe, but what more?? Well, let me see.. They have shoes here, and lots of it!! I think I could have filled up my entire backpack with fabulous, fabulous shoes from here.. Oh, well... Next time.. And the pizza here is to die for. They also have lots and lots of dogwalkers, atleast in our neighbourhood Recoleta, the Frogner of Buenos Aires. I have never thought of myself as the kind of girl going for deignerclothes and things, but it feels soo good to go into one of those stores, and actually can afford what they sell. Things are so amazingly cheap here, a fancy dinner is about 80NOK!
Yesterday we went to Colonia in Uruguay, another city on UNESCOs list, only 50 minutes by catamaran from BA. It was very small and VERY quiet compared to BA, where you litterally have to stand on top of eachother on the Subte (Metro). Colonia has about 20,000 inhabitants, but I have no idea where all of them had gone yesterday, they were certainly not out in the streets! We walked the streets of barrio histórico, sat down for a great lunch and visited the lighthouse and a small market. Everything was so relaxing.
So, this is our last day in BA. Today we´re suppose to do everything we haven´t had the time for earlier in the week, but something is telling me it´s going to be difficult. Usually, I´m not that big of a fan of big cities (well, well.. BA has "only 3mill inhabitants"), but our week here has been so much fun. I´m not really looking forward to leaving, but the good thing is that we´re now leaving the winter behind.. Next up, and the last stop on our semi-bckpacking trip, is Brazil and Rio de Janeiro tomorrow! Copacabana here we come!
