hey! so today i´m starting my third week of school. this weekend was pretty good. It started out a little disappointing because we didnt get to go to Uruguay! We kind of overslept, but it ended up being a terribly cold and rainy day anyway so it worked out. Still a tad disappointing though. Then Saturday we went shopping in Plaza Serrano, which has amazing markets and clothes for really inexpensive prices. Got a couple gifts for people =) Its been oddly cool here, at least the two days were it was overcast (hence the pictures of me in jeans and a jacket) Yesterday probably made the weekend though. We went to see La Boca, a local soccer team. First the stadium is awesome. I will be putting pictures up of it soon. The fans are crazy and the team is pretty good. Sophie, Holly, and I were chanting along, the excitement they have is just contagious. I have no idea what i was saying. My spanish abilities have not yet qualified me to be able to translate men chanting/singing while drunken on futbol. haha it was great though, until we realized the opposing team was above us! The first half i had no idea, and then we started getting wet. The skies were clear and i was just confused for a little while and then we realized. We were being doused with water from above as well as being spit on!! sooooooo gross. the game was still fun to watch, i just hid behind these big guys that were situated behind me in the stands but ooooooo was it gross. The game ended up being a tie. I was less than amazed by the skill but then again i have no idea what im talking about when it comes to soccer. Im a world cup warrior and nothing more. We got home around 9 showered like it was no ones business and the girls actually agreed to come to Bio (really nice organic veg restaurant) with me and then we got ice cream!! all in all a good day . but alas now im off to school.
