Hey everyone! sorry i havent written for a little bit, but its been crazy trying to get acclamated to the pace of this city! I just finished up my first week of school (thank god!) I forgot what it was like getting up and having to go to a class everyday but its not too bad. It just takes some willpower when we dont get in until 4 in the morning and then we have to be up for lessons. They are going pretty well though. I have two teachers, marcela and javier, with extremely different teaching styles which is kind of fun. I prefer javier as we get to mostly just talk and discuss in class rather than copying down conjucations from the board like we do with Marcela. Both are so nice though its hard to complain.
Last night we went to learn tango! it was ridiculous. Me Sophie and Holly made complete fools of ourselves but hey tango is hard!! I actually got asked to dance by a couple really good dancers which kinda helped me out but if i wasnt being practically forced in the right directions by them i was completely lost!! Damn my two left feet. Then we went out to eat at a parilla nearby and back for the tango ¨Show¨which consisted of the good dancers from the class dancing in front of us, further ascerting the fact that we just kinda sucked! hahaa o well it was still fun. Again i have pictures but i seem to be completley inept in the picture uploading area. After the class though a group of us went out to this Irish Bar ?? .. yes thats right i went to an Irish Bar in Argentina. It was alot of fun but i can barely talk today because it was so loud in there. We came home kind of early (which equates to 3 to 330 here) and just hung out a little and went to bed. All in all a good night even if im feeling a little less than 100% today.
... but the only cure for that is SHOPPING! today we´re off to Recoleta Market for whats supposed to be some of the best (CHEAP) shopping in BA. Mom would be proud of my thriftyness.. although you spend an excessive amount of money on food here. Its cheap but so good you want to go out every meal. And then youre like me and need american things like peanut butter that cost like $8 a bottle here!! Extortion I tell you, but well worth it. Well im going to go and get a move on because otherwise we wont leave for a long time (so hard to do for an early riser! ha) Ciao!
Sinceramente,
Cass
