All my things got stolen. On my last night.
This is a disaster, a nightmare.
What on earth am I going to do?!
Ok I'll just get the bus and go home-all my clothes, my camera, my ipod can be replaced, it will be bloody expensive but I'll sort it out at home...
24 hours later and I am at a loss as to what to do...
My passport holding my UK visa was in one of the bags that got stolen...
Now I can't get home.
I have to reapply for a visa.
Which I can only do on Monday. Today is Saturday.
OH CRAP.
A woman saw me bawling my eyes out at the airport and offered for me to stay at her house!
Another couple gave me money.
Some people are good, some are bad.
So I went to stay with Josephine Mbogo and her family; her two daughters Chiko and Winnie and grandson Adrie, son Kia and husband.
What an amazing family to take me-a complete, WHITE stranger-into their homes just like that!
So I stayed with them until my flight out on the 28th-exactly a week late.
But Winnie took me around everywhere-to get my visa sorted (which I was told would take 10 days!! Which I didn't have). Her and her friend Aby took me to shop to replace all my stolen clothes and Amy and her friends even took me out clubbing!! It was definitely an experience and it may not have been the ideal but at least something GOOD came out of such a BAD experience.
