There was more travelling in Zambia and we stayed in this amazing campsite where there were herds of Zebra and Buffalo about 100m from our tent! And no fences in between! There was loadss of rain at the first campsite we almost got flooded out!
Then We travelled further and it was about 4 days in Zambia I think.
Beautiful country.
AND as I'm South African I didn't have to pay for a visa!! :)
We were all quite excited when we arrived in Livingstone as it was now Christmas Eve!! We couldn't believe it! So we kept playing the ONE Christmas song we had on the ipod in the truck! We all exchanged Secret Santa gifts here and I got this cute little wooden carving/sculpture of an African elephant as well as a wooden bangle-very pretty! AND my person really liked hers (a carving of the continent with the big five inside!). We also sorted out tour t-shirts which I know were expensive but I really wanted to get one to remember this trip and everyone on it.
We then got a little dressed up (as much as possible for people camping for a month and living out of their bags!) for the Sunset Booze Cruise down the Zambezi!!
It was really great!!
Hippos and crocodiles in the river, an amazing African sunset and all with friends. What more could you ask for?!
We also got a meal and all the drink you could drink....
Now this got messy for some people but everyone was very proud of the baby of the group (yours truly!) actually being sober and looking after the drunk people! It was really fun actually watching everyone else and knowing I would remember it and they wouldn't!! :D
All in all a good night and now it was soo almost Christmas!! :)
