Today we had BIG plans as it was our last proper day in London. First stop for the day was St Pancras International train station where we went to pick up our Eurostar tickets (train from London to Paris) and book or Eurorail tickets (Tickets that will let us travel on pretty much any train in mainland Europe). After taking the tube all the way to St Pancras, we were told they didn't sell what we were after and we had to back pedal to Piccadilly Circus. Back pedal complete and we had both sets of train tickets in our hot little hands - Europe mainland here we come!
Next stop was London Tower, via a Pom fish and chip stand. :) London was spectacular - Case wanted to make an offer so we could use it as a holiday home! Checked out the Crown Jewels (unlike Troy's, these ones hasn't shrunk in the cold weather!) - Case wanted to know why her rock was so much smaller…
You also get a great view of London Bridge from just outside the Tower, so ticked that off the list as well.
From their it was off to Madame Tussaud's (museum full of wax statues of famous people) to run shoulders with the rich and famous. Case spent a lot of time rubbing up against the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio… The statues were so lifelike and very cool.
By then it was time to feed our bellies again before heading to the Lion King Musical. Not usually Troys cup of tea, but we both really enjoyed it. The costumes and stage setup were just amazing.
After our first tube ride after dark we're finally ready to crash out at midnight.
