Today was a lot more successful. Not without incident, but a great success when compared to the day before! We went to sleep in the snow, but it rained all night so we woke to clear blue skies and not a snow flake in sight!
Troy jumped through the shower, only to have cold water after about one minute and then no water at all. Crap! After checking it wasn't something we'd done, it was time for a phone call to the motorhome people who arranged for a caravan dude to meet us where we were heading to in York.
After a very quick lap of Nottingham it was on the road again to York. The drive was beautiful with a heap of things to look at. By mid afternoon we arrived at the campground, although I say campground fairly loosely because it was little more than a gravel strip to park your van on and a power point in the middle of a paddock! Next item on the agenda was some grocery shopping, so off we went again and were finally back with our little home setup at about 5:30.
With the water pump now running, Case decided to brave the shower. Which went cold just after she'd run the conditioner through her hair…
The mechanic rocked up at about 6 and fiddled around for an hour, fixing a loose wire and a dodgy pressure switch. Hopefully that means the last of the cold showers!
Case had organised a surprise dinner by candle light and a bottle of champagne, so once our mechanic friend had left us in peace it was time for a romantic dinner for two…
