Hello all!
Well yet another great day here in Hossegor. Today its about 95 degrees, with clear blue sunny skies and very refreshing cool water. Got up around 8 today and headed out to go surf at a nearby beach with one of Matts good friends who goes to school in Paris and stays here in Hossegor to surf in the summer as well. Waves were pretty small today, about 1 meter but made for great waves for me to get use to my take offs on my new board, which has been working out quite well. Surfed for a few hours and then headed back into town to Matt's Grandparents house for a really good lunch of potatoes, pork, salad, and all the French fixings (cheese, bread, wine, and fruit). Full and satisfied we returned back to his house and ended up taking a 3 hour nap, s*** those waves really take it out of you. This afternoon we then went down to the main beach in the town to soak up the sun and cool down in the ocean. But holy crap, the beaches here are so packed, ALWAYS, yet the people in France look pretty good most of the time, so im not complaining ;)
Just relaxing back at the house now, waiting to go have a really good dinner in a few hours I'm told. Side note: The food here has been amazing so far. Fresh croissants and bread every morning, Huge lunches, amazing dinners that continue to broaden my taste buds with dishes so far consisting of cat fish, lamb, veil, breast of duck, goose liver, various cheeses, assorted pastries, new potato dishes, fruit and meat (sweet and salty), and the list goes on and on every meal. Although these may sound goose and weird trust me everything has been amazing, I'm personally just not going to say no to anything this trip seeing that i have 21 years of food experience and this country has a few more years to work out what is good, so I'll just trust them! Haven't been disappointed yet!
Well I hope all is well on your side of the world. Much love.

kai "yet the people in France look pretty good most of the time, so im not complaining".....uh oh. You're totally gonna return to the states with a French hottie...
Nathan I still think a summer tearing out old carpet in dorm rooms for Ibex would have been more fun but I guess you'll just have to try and make the best of this France thing
Henry Hanson Living it up is pretty good, and in one of the best places on earth. it sounds like you have everything coming your way 24 hours a day. Keep on doing what your doing, keep on, keep on.
