Got into Paris around 8:30 pm after a 4 hour train ride that took us from the quite, warm, and tropical Southern French countryside to this busy and chaotic metropolitan center to stay as a resting point on our way up to Normandy. After a quick bus ride and a block walk we arrive at Matt's grandparent's apartment, a quaint and proper flat looking out on the tight busy streets of downtown Paris, only 2 blocks from the famed Eifel Tower! After dropping off our bags, Matt and I set off to explore this mystical city! We walk over and check out the literally thousands of people that were also checking out the massive Eifel Tower. This being my first time actually seeing this in person, I have to say I was literally speechless. We viewed all possible angles of the tower and eventually found some food to eat from a street vendor. There we sat at 11:00 at night at the foot of one of the many historical statues while the Tower exploded in lights, in the darkening sky. Have to say a good first impression!

Aunt Carole Wow, the tower at night looks awesome! It seems rather large--to say the least! What an adventure you are having. "-)
Steve The Eifel sounds like an eye-full at night! I'm so looking forward to experiencing it! Pepe Le Pew would be proud!
