After a whirlwind tour of Italy sightseeing and partying, we arrived here in Marseille tired and ready to relax. We arrived here late on the night of the 16th after 13 hours of train rides from Florence, tired, sweaty, and hungry. We checked in at our hostel, Vertigo Centre a convenient 3 minute walk from the train station, and then walked about the city a bit in look for some food to fill us up after a VERY long day of traveling .
We awoke lazily the next morning, found a grocery store and stoked up on food and made a HUGE breakfast. Eventually we got going and decided to go out to the many beaches that had been tempting us on the previous days journeys. We spent the remainder of the day laying and soaking up the sun and swimming in the amazingly clear and warm Mediterranean Sea. Eventually we returned back to the hostel to make some killer sandwiches and relaxing in the chill atmosphere of or hostel.
We arose again late today after a very restful night. We again went to the store, and made again another delicious breakfast scramble, enjoying the opportunity to once again be able to eat cheaply and cook. Unable to decide where to go with the remainder of the day we decided we would return to the beach to again enjoy the magic that this wonderful sea offers. We spent hours swimming in this amazing sea until our bodies were red enough for one day. Returned to our hostel and spent much of the evening enjoying the exceptional dinner we made, pesto tortellini with fresh tomatoes and sautéed mushrooms.
Although our time here in Marseille was not filled with a hectic schedule or seeing a hundred different sights, we took this time to recharge our batteries and prepare our self for the many adventures that are sure to occur while discovering the upcoming country of SPAIN! Well we leave tomorrow morning so time to call it an early night, see you all on the other side of the next border!

Steve I hope there is no "Rain in Spain, falling mainly on the Plain". Barcellona or bust!
