Bonjour mes amies!
Well here I am in Hossegor, in Souther France, got here 2 days ago and have been having an absolute blast living the French life. Its currently about 7 in the morning, waiting for Matt( Frenchie)(my roommate whos family has this amaxing house that Im staying at here in France) to wake up so we can go surfing this morning. So yes, I am truly living the life of a prp surfer., except Im no where near their level, at all.
But france has and is amazing, the food is to dye for, the people look great;), the weather and climate is supberb, the waves are perfect, and the list goes on and on.
But so far the food has been amazing! Plenty of cheese, baggets for 55 cents, saucison (hard salamie for 87cents) and got to have some duck liver too a french favorite, when in rome right! and Have to say its not that bad at all.
But yes the trip was long, we got into paris around 8 or so after a 7 hour flight from Phillidalphia that since it was our evening, i wasent able to sleep on the plane, so arriving in paris we found our bus and after a 2 and 1/2 hour bus ride we got into downtown paris to the train station and hung out for about 2 hours before our train left. But paris is crazy, so many people on every form of transportation going every which way with no regard to traffic laws or other drivers. so Dad i strongly reccomend that you never try to drive here, you would have a heart attack. But finally caught our train around 12, which seemed like, and was now 4 in the morning where you are. got on the train, had a beer and then bam! passed out. Got into Baynnon around 4 in the afternoon here with the sun finally shinning (it was raining / cloudy in paris) where we got picked up by frnchies neighbor who drove us that last hour to thier house. so ya 24+ hours gave us a long as trip.
I am currently staying with my roommates family that have a house here in southern france and the place is really cool, very european and has a strong old feel in it, but it is very nice. Its 3 levels with more doors than you can possibly imigaine. Its about a mile from downtown and the beach. ill send photos soon.
Yesterday we went out this morning where Matt got a few waves, then came back to the house slept in cause we got up around 6, and then went out looking for a board for me. We found a nice 6'6'' short board for 200 euros( the cheapest anywhere) that will be awesome for me since it is more aggressive and will get me to ride better. But we then stopped at the grocery store on the way home to get some food and beer ( 12 pack of Stellas for 4 euros) got back ate, drank a few and then headed out to the beach which is about a 15 min bike ride and surfed and played in the waves for a few hours.
Over all its been amazing here, France is awesome! I really love it over here. well we are about to go surfing so Ill try to be more up to date with this blog thing, until next time,
Avoir!
family Nice! Enjoy!
