FRASER ISLAND

Made our way to Hervey Bay where we stayed for a night before our Fraser Island trip. We got put into a group of 10 and drove around in a 4x4 in our groups for the 3 days on the island! It was incredible to drive around on beaches and go through the sea! There aren't any roads on the island so you just bomb it across the beaches in your van! It was so much fun!

We had to be back at the campsire by 3pm everyday as the tide comes in, so you cant drive anywhere. In the evening we would play cards and start drinking early as it would be dark by six, it was really weird! A dingo ripped a hole in our tent within the first couple of hours of setting up! haha so funny, it took a liking to my rice cakes! We had big group meals in the evening and had bbqs which was cool.

Our group was really cool, we would cruise along the beaches listening to bewitched and singing songs as loud as we could.

We visited a really nice creek on the island and a nice lagoon, but the highlight was lake macenzie! It was a massive lake which was dark blue in the middle, with a rim of turqouise on the outside.It was surrounded by forest and the sand was pure white, it really was incredible! We all went in for a swim but it was tipping it down with rain which added to the bants!
