This morning we disembarked the ship at Southampton. Boarded a shuttle bus for the 1 & 1/2 hour ride to Heathrow Airport.. A pleasant british airways flight to Nice arriving at 3.00 pm . An expensive cab ride to our apartment on the Avenue de Anglaise. Col and Joan greeted us. Fabulous - very pleased , with our accommodation - dated ( built 1956 ) 2 bedroom , 2 bathrooms over looking the sea. Unfortunately the lift not working - apartment on the 5 th floor. After settling in we purchase provisions at the supermarket around the corner . David and Col cooked a very nice dinner of pork chops and vegetables. A nice change after restaurants for the last three weeks. This is the view from our apartment . Looking forward to having a fun week here in France.
