Today is our last full day in France. We breakfast on crunchy bread rolls filled with cheese and tomato. Having got the hang of the public transport we take the bus along the promenade de Anglaise to the old city and wander through the narrow cobblestoned lane ways. The public transport is excellent and you can take a bus or tram ( or combination of both) for one euro ($1.30)for up to 74 minutes. We ride the light rail (Linge d'azur ) to the end of the line and back to the city centre a efficient way the see the city sites. Lunch in the city with a bit of people watching. The French are very different , slim, well dressed , and all seem to smoke -most friendly but some arrogant. A two o'clock we are collected by a tour van .
This afternoon we are chauffeured through the very pretty country and visit a small family run organic winery at Saint- Jeanette. Purchasing a bottle of rose' to take home. Continuing through the countryside of Provence we visit the very pretty old village of St Paul. The second most visited village in France Beautiful views of the lush country side . David bought a lovely set of cutlery and a clock. Yes and we did get a fridge magnet , but no teatowel . This spectacular walled fortress village, home to famous painters (Renoir , Chagall and Picasso ).
