Off to union square, passing Roxannes cafe and Peters place - all we need is a butchers burgers and will have seen all the siblings on the first day.
Went to "lefty o'douls " Irish diner for Guiness and soup and chilli. A guy entered with a bag of tins , refused to leave and started getting aggressive. The manager phoned the police as he thought he had a knife - two mins later 5 heavily armed police arrived and arrested him- welcome to San Fran! You couldn't write it - Linda picked the bar- think I'll choose the next one.
Back to the hotel for a £6 1/2 Guiness- gulp ( it was only £4 pint at leftys!), however we got a piano playing musician to entertain us instead of a knife wielding , tin collecting vagrant , so I guess it was worth it!
Bed early , waking 2am and wide awake - planning Thursday's activities.
