Home sweet home. Pandemonium at the airport as the terminal we should have used was flooded, so check in rammed, bags left in checkout area, but somehow they all arrived at Newcastle.! The kids did us proud- the house was tidy, washing done - much better than we had hoped. Slight hiccup over watering the plants as seen by the photo. Left the kids £50 for emergencies which was all spent on emergency pizzas, Emergency Indian food and emergency Chinese food!- eve...

Sunday was a complete washout. Linda has stomach bug , similar to the one I had before I went away. Pleased we paid to keep the room until 6 pm. After the club house last night went out to the piano bar for a quick drink, then Italians and home as the Sinai theatre closed due to weather and Linda felt poorly. Chucking it down all day. Floods everywhere. I'm in the clubhouse having a beer and just watched Hull stuff the Mackems 3-0 in the cup. England v Wales rugby is at 1/2 time with England edging it 20-15 but the welsh are piling on the pressure.ironically the weather looks a lot better at home than here. Mr positive has a beer in his hand making the most of the challenging weather..! Ps- match just finished and England won the rugby 29 - 18 much to the disappoint...

Sun lasted 20 mins- thunder, lightening and rain started again- hope our room remains out of the flood plane area! Tv just gone off too.Hope the battery lasts on my I pod.!!

Health and safety - Egyptian style... One guy is walking on the very edge of the wet roof with no harness- madness. Thunder, lightening and they have the staff on the roof brushing away the water! They take health and safety seriously here as they have swapped the metal mops for plastic ones in case the lightening hits them !!!
