Today the plan was to visit a very popular little town called Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. It took about an hour and a half to get there and we took two cars because everyone came. It is a very famous town because Vincent Van Gough did many of his paintings here and it is the home to the Psychiatric Hospital where he resided.
We wandered around the gorgeous little streets in the centre of the town and visited the stunning old church. There was lots of tourists taking photos everywhere we walked. Kaci then found a nice place for us to have lunch which was called La Gousse d'Ail. It was a very busy restaurant and the food was delicious.
Kaci and Marie-Christine left after lunch but Marie, Pierre, Andrew and I went to visit some Ancient Roman Ruins and walked around the area where Van Gough used to paint. We saw the hospital he lived in which is still running today which was very interesting. We didn't stay too long here because it was extremely hot and Andrew and I were keen to get back to Vaison la Romaine to do a little bit of shopping for some gifts before it got too late. We had a very casual easy dinner before hitting the sack. Another fab day!
