Awake early and down to the pool
by 8:00am so had it all to ourselves. Checked out of Las Vegas Hotel & Casino around 11. Off to park at the miracle mile shops at Planet Hollywood.
At a weak moment we fell into the promise of cheap show tickets and dinner at a timeshare experience which was offered....... After a light lunch presentation and viewing a very nice apartmen,......three hours later we were walking down Las Vegas blvd back to our car, with tickets to see 'Vegas The Show' including dinner tomorrow night. A short trip down to old Downtown and check into the Golden Nugget on Fremont Street, the original part of Vegas, here for two nights, very nice room in the Carson Tower for $31. After doing our laundry and turning our room into a Chinese joss house, we walked out to Freemont Street where there are people everywhere and everyone was in party mode. I had heard that this
part of town was a lot less crowded and not as cheesy as LV Blvd , but not so. Fantastic atmosphere with great music and video light show on the ceiling of the mall every hour, we watched Don McLean, Bon Jovi & Queen.
