Decided to travel to Vegas today to take a look at a couple of cars, one out in the desert just outside Barstow the other in Las Vegas itself. Beautiful spring day warm and not a breathe of wind just what we expected it to be , the rain and snow was just a teaser!! Arrived mid afternoon, checked into our hotel Sam's Town, an older Casino further out of town. Nice rooms with an atrium courtyard $55per night, not bad. Went to view the second car for the day and then back to Sam's Casino to look around at the amenities which include numerous eateries, bowling alley, western store and thousands of slots and casino games. Other than being a bit out of town, it is in a nice area with lots of shopping centres around and is a great place to stay with clean comfortable rooms. We decided to go to Steak & Shake Hamburgers at South Point Casino for one of the best hamburger dinners around, a favorite place of ours in Vegas, then back to Sam's for a goodnights sleep. Have decided to travel to Bakersfield tomorrow.
