Today is the last day of my tour and I'm bummed. It's so sad to think that it's all over but it feels really good to think back and remember everything that I've done in such a little amount of time. It's been so great...something that I will not be able to shut up about when I get home.
We didn't do much today, just went to the Flying Doctors museum thing to learn about how Australia has this system of planes that brings doctors to different locations, specifically catoring to the Northern Territory where there is nothing. It was a great program and I believe in its benefits.
Our tour ended at 5pm but we were invited to dinner and the snake show since most of us that were leaving had booked another night at the lodge. I couldn't believe how much fun this was, just shows that it doesn't matter where you are but more importantly who you are with and what you make out of it. We went into this tavern for dinner and it was very country with a live country singer and everything. I had some rump, the only ass that I got on this trip by the way, and some reallly good chocolate cake afterwards...yummmm. The country singer was drunk and a lot of fun to listen to. The most hilarious part was that there was this other tour, similar to us, but all old people. My German friend Katharina and I danced with them and we all did a train around the restaurant which was so much fun. It was so much fun to not care and make a complete fool of myself. Good times.
Ooooh!! So the snake show was great. I got to hold an olive python that wound itself around me, especially sticking its tail between legs, again, the most action that I got. It felt amazing around me, I couldn't believe I was holding it. Mom would've freaked out, she hates snakes, giving me another reason why I had to do it, hehe. Then I held a blue tongued lizard, bearded dragon, and another one that I can't remember whatit's called anymore. They were all cool though, I had a lot of fun holding all of the reptiles. =)
We all left the tavern and a few us went into Katharina's room to continue drinking and talking. That was it, the last night of my tour....=( Sucks. I'm saaaaad...
