Today we finally head home, and I'm thankful. It's always a good feeling when you look forward to going home and getting back to the life that 2 weeks ago I was dying to escape from.
We had such a fun and flawless time here. No problems just little hiccups along the way, that allow us to have silly stories and memories on how we managed our way out of situations. It went the way that I always dreamed it would go. James and I are great travel partners and there's no better way to compliment our chemistry together than to take the world on together and survive.
I'll miss Europe, but some places more than others. I'm sure when I'm planning our next trip back, we'll skip London. I'm not much a fan of the people, the weather (although it never rained on us...anywhere) or the prices. I'm gonna make it back to Ireland for it was such a beautiful place and really exceeds all expectations. The rolling green hills, the weathered down abbeys, the rowdy bars and the caring people with the lovely accents is reason enough to come back and appreciate the history of the little island. The only down side of Ireland is that the food is pretty similar everywhere. If you don't like fish and chips or shepherds pie (which I do not) it can become difficult to find a variety of food. My favorite place was Amsterdam. For so many reasons. And I'm not sure if the carnival up the block and all the cotton candy and waffles with cherries and whipped cream make me a little biased, but I had the time of my life there. I didn't feel like a tourist or traveller, I felt like a young kid who fit in, who is not looked down upon for wearing a hoodie (like Londoners) and had all the different kinds of food I could wish for. The weather was lovely. It didn't get dark until 10 pm and it stayed warm outside after the sun went down. The tulips were gorgeous and everywhere, and the trees all in full bloom. It was nice to take a couple days and relax, enjoy the weather, good company and discover the world down the street. It was perfect. I'm sad to leave, but I have a sneaking suspicion that I'll be back.
Cheers!

Bonnie We will miss the beautiful descriptions and challenges along your travels, excited to see what the next day's blog and pictures held. I loved all the places that you experienced and can't decide which picture is my favorite. I envy your adventurous spirit. Love you both. Thank you for sharing your adventure.
Sarah Volesky Glad to have you both back home. But I am going to miss your adventures. The way that you write Brooke makes us feel like we were there. And with James pictures... It was a lovely get a way.
