Hello,
On our last day in Ireland we started off at the Muckross Estate. Here we took a horse drawn carriage pulled by our new friend Tori. The estate had an old abby, a manor house with 52 chimines (one for every week of the year) and 365 windows (one for each day of the year) and waterfalls. It's amazing how much green you can fit into one place.
We took to the road again and drove for a couple hours to the Cliffs of Mohr. The view from the top of the cliffs was amazing but what really moved us was the sound of the waves crashing against the cliff wall. They looked like they were moving in slow motion. We said goodbye to Ireland and packed all our gear for Holland.
We made it safely (but not effortlessly) to our hotel. I didn't quite enjoy my arrival into the city center, but I survived nonetheless. I kinda went into a shock when we landed at the airport just in time to make it to our train for rush hour. Landing in a crowded city center where english is not the spoken language is a lot to deal with in the first 15 minutes. Since we didn't know any better, James and I looked at each other, shrugged and hopped on the first train we saw, and then proceeded to ask questions on the train. One lady we asked said that she admired our adventurous attitude to hop on a train and see where it takes us. I thought it was stupid.
People have been so helpful to us here finding our way around and our hotel. We have been going fast and furious through London and Ireland. We're going to take a few days to sit at a outdoor cafe, drink some Heineken (our hotel was the first brewery of Heineken) and people watch. There happens to be a carnival going on up the block from us, so we've been riding carnival rides and indulging on cottoncandy (it's a big stres reliever).
Otherwise, it's been fun down here. It's really a hodgepodge of cultures and languages. We decided not to do Paris due to the cost factor and we get enough of their attitudes around here.
There are plenty of museums we'll try and visit. We've gone to the History museum and Anne Franks house. We'll also try and visit the Royal Palace across the street, the Old Church and maybe do a canal ride.
I'll keep an update as to when we're gonna head back home, in a couple days.
Cheers!

Bonnie Muckross Estate and the Abbey. Wish I could have been there to see all the green. But, I also enjoy sitting at outdoor cafe, people watching. Are you going shopping in Greenish village that has 17 century buildings? Loving the photos.
Judy What fun. You are braver that I am! I could also just sit, drink coffee, tea and watch people go by. Looking forward to seeing you.
Sarah Volesky you guys are braver than i. i wouldn't have lasted 2 seconds on those rides.
