Today we made an early start, heading back into Arches National Park straight to the most popular hike at Delicate Arch before the crowds arrive. It's a 3 mile walk in 90 degrees at altitude across slickrock with no shade, brutal but worth it for the view at the end. Leaving Capitol Reef behind us we head east toward Moab and Arches National Park. It's about 160 miles today and the drive takes us out along SR24 which although scenic is arrow straight and somewhat tedious. We hit I70 before heading down into Moab and our new home for the next couple of days.
