Happy St Patricks Day!! We booked onto a 'party bus' for tonight, loadsa people doing it so we thought it would be rude not to join in!

Didn't do a lot in the day, just caught up on emails etc, then started drinking pretty early! The "Ultimate Party" that we did was pretty good, started with a 'meal' at Rhinobar, then we got on the open top double decker bus strewn with green/yellow/white balloons and drive around Cairns for a bit making a complete racket and scaring everyone eating al fresco! Went to several bars and clubs, and played lots of very interesting games to win drinks, I won't elaborate or mum will make me come home!! Lotsa laughs, spent the evening with our new Swedish friends Emma, Gustav and Jacob...those crazy swedes!!

Possibly the craziest moment of the whole trip so far....I left earlier than the boys and was asleep in our room when I heard lots of shouting and crashing noises...the lads had stolen a shopping trolley filled with what looked like an entire fruit shop, and managed to get it up the stairs and into the room!! A fruit fight ensued, mainly consisting (rather dangerously) of pineapples and watermelons! Tom and Eddy then decided it would be a good idea to strip completely naked and run riot round the hostel with nothing but fruit (Tom = pineapple, Ed = watermelon) covering their dignity. See my picture journal. Then Gustav ambushed them with the fire extinguisher! I'm surprised they wern't thrown out! After a few stern words from Emma and I we finally went to bed....covered in potato.
