Well, our last day in Auckland was spent pretty much being bums, just watching films and wandering around aimlessly. Tom (the hostel owner) was kind enough to let us stay in the tv room and use the showers and kitchen until our taxi at 3am to the airport! When we arrived at the airport however, Toms Qantas flight was on time at 6am, my Aerolinas Argentinas flight was delayed by around 4 hours. You really do get what you pay for. This is the same airline where, on flying out to NZ, the air conditioning broke on the plane! Pretty scary! So Tom swanned off and I mooched round duty free for hours.

On the plane I tried to sleep but there was a large number of irate babies surrounding my seat and I don't really trust the airline so I kinda slept with one eye open! On landing, the pilot told us he was going to start the descent and then we sort of nose dived for a few seconds, which was, again, quite scary!

When we landed safely (to my astonishment) I went and got my bags and met Tom, and we headed off into the city. Tom's godfather was kind enough to offer us the flat to stay in for a couple of nights, so we went and got the keys then crashed out! had a lovely bath, sorted out my case and rucksack, and later that night saw Ed (Tom's godfather) for pizza and photo showing. Early night that night - cream crackered!

The next day we met Billy and Jason the irish at Cosmos for brekkie, so good to see them! Jason's all businesslike as hes going for promotion, and Billy asked me if I want to travel Australia with him doing sales in every town. It's a good idea and I'd make a lot of money at the same time as seeing Oz, but it really doesn't appeal to me at the moment! After that Tom and I went to see Talia at her flat, had a great catchup! After that I went and met Claire, my aussie friend from Melbourne, at Bondi Beach o have a catchup and discuss tomorrows travel plans i.e. driving up the coast. After that meeting I went and got changed and went out to Hurricanes with Ed, Dick, Sheryl and Tom - lovely meal! And after THAT Tom and I went out in the city with the irish, Talia and some of her friends. Went to a cool german pub where they all wore lederhosen! Yah! Ended up in a bar playing things like johnny cash and come on eileen! Fun night!
