I'm not studying but its the closest thing! Me and Tom actually started our new job on wednesday, it all happened so fast! On monday we had an interview with the boss, Blake, who told us to come back for an introductory afternoon that same day! We shadowed a guy called Sam for a few hours in the afternoon, who showed us the ropes but also told us he had a spare room in the house hes just bought if were looking for somewhere to stay!! Result! We went back to the office for a second interview with Blake who offered us both jobs, it was definately our day!! The job is door to door fundraising, at the moment for the Heart Research Institute but it varies.

Tuesday we had a day sorting things out, buying smart clothes (its kind of a suit job) and generally getting organised. Tuesday night we had a dinner party, it was held by Ed and Sheryl (Toms godfather and his girlfriend) at Ed's old apartment (where weve been staying). Very nice night, met some of their friends and had a nice meal.

Wednesday we started work!! Went in around 11am to sign paperwork and go through the motions, then experienced our first ever 'morning meeting' where theres a mantra they all shout...Blake: "Do you want a meeting?" Everyone: "s*** yeah!" etc  etc!! they then put on that song that goes "i like to move it move it" and made all the newbies, including us, dance to it in front of everyone!! Interesting!! Mainly shadowing today, went out with a scottish guy called Ewan and a german guy called marcus. Very long day, pretty much fell asleep straight away when we got back!!

Thursday I went in earlier as marcus asked me to come with him to a 'leaders meeting' saying theres no harm in it, very flattered but i cant see myself being promoted in 9 weeks!! Interesting meeting all about building a sales team, do's and dont's. Went out with Ewan again today, he took Tom and i was thrown out on my own. Made no sales but i think im getting my head around it now! Another night of falling asleep straight away!

And that brings us to today. We are moving into the new house tomorrow, its awesome! we had a look around it on tuesday, its massive, and had a pool and a hot tub!! Pretty good huh! and the rent is exactly what we would be paying for a really crap place, and believe me, we looked around our fair share of those too!!
