Hey guys!! Well the new jobs going well, me and Tom went away for the week on a 'road trip', basically where a group of people from the office all go to a country town for the week, work long hours and make lots of money! We went to a town called Cessnock (around the same size as Bridgnorth) which is near Newcastle, around 4 hours on the train from Sydney.

We arrived there on Sunday night and checked into the Big 4 Caravan park, where we had two cabins waiting for us. There was 9 of us on the trip, and I was the only girl! Marcus was running the show, a German guy who is climbing up the company fast. With him was Ewan, me and Toms leader, who also has big ideas. The other leader was a guy called Andy, who, believe it or not is from Priorslee in Telford!! Small world!! The there was Arjun, an indian guy who started when Tom and I did, Felix, another German who started the week before us, and then the two Irish, Jason and Billy. All in all, a cool group of people!! We did a quick grocery shop that night and made some pasta, prepared our folders and went to bed.

The next two days we worked 9 - 9 pretty much, and the first day I smashed the gong (got 5 sales) which was the most out of everyone, so the next morning the boys all had to get on their knees and do 3 "i'm not worthy" bows!! Its company policy if a girl high rolls the sales for the day! Tuesday was a slow day, I only made two.

Wednesday was ANZAC, which is a public holiday in Australia, its a bit like Remembrance day in england. We arn't allowed to knock on doors on public holidays, so we did a bit of training in the morning (no rest for the wicked) and then had a big bbq for lunch! After that we were all ready for some relaxation, so we jumped into the jacuzzi mid afternoon, and didn't get out for 5 hours! The pool was really cold and the jacuzzi was boiling so we played some games where the loser had to jump into the pool...lotsa fun!!

Thursday I rang the bell (made 3) and Friday i smashed the gong again with 6, then finished up on saturday with 4. Altogether a very successful week....for me. Tom however hasn't really got the hang of it yet, and finished the week with just 2 sales in his pocket, earning him around $80 (30quid). Hes not a happy bunny, and I don't know how long he will stick the job out after this, hes looking for manual labour jobs.

The road trip was great fun, especially the irish! they got really annoyed when we said PO-TA-TOESso we did it all the time!! Returned on saturday night, went out for a few drinks at the bondi hotel then bed.

Its sunday now, im just doing some odd jobs, cutting a key for the house, buying a bed etc!! I will blog again next week sometime!
