This morning Fabian woke the students by calling like a cockerel, some were not very impressed at all with their wakeup call. Breakfast today was rice, peas, carrot, sweetcorn and hotdog.
We went to work at around 8:20am today, Alfonso and some of the local men used jacks to remove the bridge posts on our side of the river, and it took almost two hours. Then the rest of the group could make the holes the right size for the new posts and everyone else cleared and levelled the land so the area around the bridge was safe, we also made a pavement down to the riverbank.
The ladies are preparing our lunch and cleaning the camp, here there aren't any bin men etc so families have to burn any rubbish they make. Sian is feeling a bit ill and has a strange rash on her arm, so we take her to a doctor, his consultation, cream and tablets came to less than £5. It was nice being in an air-conditioned taxi, despite the drivers terrible driving.
There isn't a great deal of project work here so Amy and Rob are moaning they are bored, I don't know why as they don't actually do any work, Rob is also annoyed that he cannot use public transport to go into Ranau, maybe because you're meant to be supervising your pupils.
Tonight's snack was banana fritter which was very nice, tonight's tea was chicken and potato which was again very nice, the evening ended with relaxing in the eating area and drinking lots of milo.
