This morning we were woken up at 5:45am so we could get ready for our second river cruise at 6:30am, it was a little foggy but very cool which was nice. We saw lots of long tail macaque and crocodiles, we also saw some hornbills and an eagle. After our tour we had breakfast which was the nicest so far, chow mein style noodles with a boiled egg and cake to follow.
After breakfast we went to our first project work which was a really nice jungle stroll collecting various seeds.
Now Sabrina and I are relaxing in our hammocks until lunch, we still have runny bums! Today's lunch was chicken soup, rice and vegetables with watermelon for afters and ice tea, which was really nice.
This afternoon we are going to be clearing grass to plant trees, we walked for about thirty minutes through the jungle. It was hard work as the machetes we were given were quite blunt, and the grass was long, dry and tough. As we were tired the walk back to camp seemed endless. I had my first camp shower which was okay, the cubicles are just a bit of tarpaulin, then you use a bucket to have a shower, it wasn't bad and washing my hair was quite easy.
This evening we relaxed in our hammocks again as they are so comfy. For tea today we had rice, beef and vegetables, it was so nice, the beef was really tender. Sabrina and I were in bed by 8:15!
