Hi guys us again. Can we just say that your only getting a blog a day coz we have free internet in the hostel! but dont get used to it!!

so its only our second day and already we r loving it! after a comfortable nights sleep we got up and had our first american shower, which incidently was scalding! ah well, a shower is a shower! we then headed downstairs to get breakfast which turned out to be make your own waffles! not the most nutritious breakfast but it hit the sickly spot!

we then set off in search of a travel pass which took us from one wallgreen to the next (there are about two million in a 10 metre radius) and got it from a booth by the trams in the end. We then asked some very chatty coppers directions to the transbay transit terminal so we could get our greyhound tickets to hollywood ca!! to our surprise the coppers said cheers as we departed. how very english of them.

when we got to the greyhound station we found a deserted hall, dark and cold, with old men sitting around. and i dont mind saying that i was slightly paniced by that seeing as we have to be in LA to get our next flight! but more directons and one flight of stairs up and we found civilisation again and booked our tickets.

next step was to hop on the tram to fishermans wharf, along the way we saw many cool buildings and we nearly flattened an old chinese lady, which was rather amusing. at fishermans wharf is pier 39. Where we saw a bunch of very lazy sea lions and jess and char had their first experience of clam chowder!!, we looked out at the bay at the end of the pier and saw alcatraz which looked really gloomy. so we decided to book tickets to go to see it. this took us on a wander down to pier 33.

next thing was walking back towards china town. but not before decided to climb lombard st, very steep hill and apprently the crookidest street in the world?! but it had a bloody amazing view at the top!, we then just generally ambled around, slowly climbing up the hills and losing control of our legs down the hills. We headed off in the direction of china town but for some reason decided we hadnt climbed enough hills that day and headed up to coit tower for more amazing views and a very tall building that we're still not entirely sure what it is for.....

eventually we made it to china town, where we picked up some veg for dinner. China town is cool but much like the china towns else where, we tried scoping out a good restaurant for future use but was slightly overwhelmed! we then ambled back to the wallgreens by our hostel (i should expain walgreens is a store open 24 hours which is a cross between boots, tesco express and a pound store). We spent ages looking for pasta and sauce but instead found oursleves rifling through chemical infested foods (spray cheese and spray on salad dressing anyone??!). After not comin up trumps we headed off to the next walgreens which is ablout 3 doors down and managed to find enough to create a half decent dinner! really tired we headed back to our hostel and whipped up a culinary delight, which we have just finished. we are off to alcatraz 2moz (jess' dad- eddie izzard??!). so thats about all folks. no doubt u'll get another one 2moz! photos should be up soon!! love love xxxxx
