We arrrived in Brasov around 5:00 and were promptly greated by Gina, a local who has rooms of her own. She was quite pushy but at the same time trying to give us directions. Unfortunatelyshe gave us a crappy map that had been photo copied about 15 times and was barely legiable. At the same time the mapI made was awful and was also no good. So yeah we got lost again. It is interesting that diferences in Brasov and Bucharest though. Brasov has street signs unlike Bucharest. The atmosphere is much different as well. The people are more helpful and are in a good mood. The city is very very clean and the air doesn't smell like poo. there are no sray dogs and any dogs that you see arebeing walked and are pure breeds. There also seems to be a large middle class as most people are driving newer cars but not a lot of mercedes and the sort. In Bucharest all you see are really nice cars and really crappy cars. OK, so once we make it tothe hostel we find out that there are no castle tours tomorrow because everything is closed. Not sure why but everything is closed. By the time we got checked in and everything it was dinner time. We were suggested a Romanian restaurant across the street from our hostel. It was fabulous! We had a traditional dinner that was quite a bit of food. It had 2 types ofsausages, chicken, beef, a sponge cake like bread topped with cheese and an egg. It is one of the pictures in the Brasov directory. After eating a full mealwe decided to go back to the hostel and hang out as we were really tired from traveling and walking up and don Brasov's hills. the hostel was pretty fulland we talked with some people from different places who had been to all oer the world.
