Good Morning! It was great chatting this morning, I guess it was yesterday for you. You forgot to tell about your bucket/spiget that's supposed to be your tub/shower for the next 6 weeks in your blog! Did you ask Mary how that works?! Glad you found an internet cafe. Make sure you are home by dark. The game was fun. The badgers won, we wore our gopher apparel. I tried texting you during the game, I will have to work on that, anyhoo we saw Ty and Jordan on the big screen. Jordan won gas, he was the fueled up fan. Wanted to stop and say hi to Megan & Rachel but your father and Meg had to get home by halftime of super bowl. Dad was generous and gave us 45 mins. at the mall! Aunt Nanny already told you the Giants won! Stay out of Kibira slums, please, please, please. Enjoy your first day of classes. Anxious to hear about that. Be safe! Love & misses.................the fam

OK...I wrote too soon. The Giants won 17-14 with 35 seconds left. So, now you know the latest breaking news in the USA. Spread the word. It's 6:00 a.m. in Africa, so I'm sure you're still in bed. Good morning!

BREANNE!!!
What adventures you are having, however I think you are a little too close to the "action." You tell Mary Mom that she needs to keep you on the "right side" of the tracks...no more wandering over to the other side. OK!?!?!? Alright, now that I got that straightened out...We're watching the Super Bowl right now. I think the Patriots will win. There is 1:20 left in the 4th quarter and the score is 14-10. I'll let you know if they lose on a fluke. The twins are at a Super Bowl party, so I'll need to go pick them up shortly. I spent the day in Sioux Falls shopping for light fixtures/cabinet k*** /tile...house stuff. BORING. I would've rather been shopping for clothes, but alas...no more money left for that. We're supposed to get rain/ice/snow tonight. The kids are hoping for a late start. That's about the most excitement in the Dau house right now. :-) Love reading your BLOGS. Love YOU!

Hello "Little Explorer", Hopefully you got our 1st email, I sent it to your college email address. Now I'll try your blog, which needless to say we are enjoying. Of course, very happy and relieved to know you are safe and enjoying your new experience in Kenya. However; after reading your latest entry, I'm concerned about where you are living now??? Hope Mom Mary takes good care of you.Gramps had a good checkup in Rochester on Wed. and had his prothesis replaced. The resident doctor was very empressed with his speaking voice. You should meet him, Bre---very handsome, very nice, and he's not married :) Well, we're not doing much on these COLD days---Grandpa's working most every day and I'm subbing now and then. Have a great week and stay safe. We love you and our prayers are always with you, Grandpa and Grandmother

Breanne....so glad to hear you arrived safe & sound. It sounds like an exciting venture. I'm sure you are anxious to acquaint yourself with the country & it's people. I'm glad to hear that you are in a guarded compound. Headlines in the newspaper today read: Kenya groups agree to stop violence. That makes me feel much better. Sounds like you will be keeping very busy. Wish I could share a tea break with you (my favorite drink).
Lots of love & prayers..........Grandpa & Grandma
Mom/madre
Hey Haven't heard from you for two days....okay makes me worry a little. Dad thinks they just have you too busy on the compound, milking the cows or weeding the garden. I know you will be Nairobi today, with your family, probably are already. We are going to try call in a couple hours, before you go nye, nye. Amy had her last game last night. She scored 21 points, so a good last game for her. Meg and friends went to see Juno. Amy is helping out with Tiger Hoops this am, will be bringing her soon. Otherwise, cleaning day.......yah. We go to the Gopher/Badger game tomorrow. We will try get ahold of Megan or Rachel and stop and say hi......although Dad and Megan want to hurry back to catch most of the SuperBowl. Zoey misses you terribly, goes in your room and looks very sad. Dad's taking good care of Bill, I think he's beginning to talk to him too. It has warmed up some. We are supposed to get more snow on Mon. That's the news. Many, many thoughts of people thinking of you. Stay safe! as Alex says.......love, love. love, love, love........mom

Hey Breanne - So glad to hear you made it safe and sound. I've been checking your blog off and on to get word that you arrived. So glad you set up the blog. Really great to be able to keep up with what you are doing and experiencing. Look forward to your next entry. Not much new with us. Still really frigid (bet your not missing that). However, last Sunday was really nice so we went to do some ice fishing with Grandpa & Grandma K and decided to do some sledding and Ryan had a little accident. He wanted to go down by himself right before we were going to leave and so Evan hung at the bottom to help stop him if need be. Well Evan's idea was to stand in front of him. So, Ryan's head met Evan's legs and blood everywhere. The way his nose bled and swelled, we thought for sure it was broke. Scared the heck out of us. It was not broke, but he is still a little swollen and black, blue, green, and yellow. That was our excitement for the week. Take Care- Love, Kim

Aunt Nannnny And Emma
Hey Beeeeezy! We are loving your blog! We just returned from Drew's basketball game. They won, so he should be a happy camper when he returns home. He actually has 5 games in the next 6 days. How's that for bleacher butt?? Alex was home today with -- we think-- the flu. It's hard to know with that little fellow. Anyway, he's feeling much better tonight. Uncle Dave is refereeing a freshman game tonight, so I'm sure he's getting yelled at a lot. Emma has another basketball tourney this weekend, as do Alex and Adam. So glad to hear you are enjoying your time in Kenya. It sounds so fun! We wish we were there as well. This cold winter has been a downer. Can't wait to hear what your next adventures will be. We hope the dogs take a break from all their nightly howls, so you can get your beauty rest...oh that's right, you're beautiful enough. Have a great day and send the warmer weather our way! Love YOU! Aunt Nannnnny and Em
