Hi everyone, we are on our second day in Thailand and it hot and sunny. Yesterday we visited an elephant village at Plattaya. It was a wonderful experience mingling with around thirty elephants and a month old baby which was running around like a little puppy would. We were all stroking and patting it.
We watched them having baths, they went in the water right over their heads. Later we got asked if anyone would like a ride and Sheila encouraged me to go for it - which I did. It was superb. We are now having a look round Koh Samui, the third largest of the islands, enjoying browsing round the shops along the waterfront. We are told there is a lovely beach but haven't found it yet. As you might guess we have come across an internet cafe, which is much faster than the one on the ship and cheaper!!
When we get back there will be another sail-away party and after dinner we will attend the 'dancing under the stars' on the top deck, with music by Natural High a top quality group. We love these occasions as there is a great atmosphere.
That's all for now - we are off to find this beach now.
PS. we called at Vietnam a few days ago - enough said.
