Wednesday 30th March
Today we drove through Waikiki and up the south coast for a few hours. Our first stop was Diamond Head crater. After driving to the car park it is a 45 min walk to the top, not too hard but hard enough. Spot the Aussies, we were the only ones wearing thongs, as all the guide books say to wear sensible comfortable shoes, thongs did fine. The rest of the drive was glorious beach after glorious beach. Dreamy blue skies, aqua blue water and white sand. perfection. At one of the scenic lookouts we even saw whales. There was a mother and baby humpback on there way back from Alaska. What an amazing unexpected surprise. More shopping tonight and off to Wet and Wild tomorrow.
