Today we went to the Great Wall!!!!! It was amazing and actually brough a tear to my eye.

Tracy got us the train times and wrote out for us that we wanted tickets to Badaling - the section of the wall we wanted to visit. We all met at 8.15 and walked to the metro, caught it to the train station, managed to buy return tickets and got on the train, good eh! Only 32Y, cheap cheap!

The train only took an hour through some really gorgeous scenery, we saw lots of the wall and countryside, it was a good journey. Arrived and walked to find tickets, i got in for a student with my card, for 22Y! Again nice and cheap. It was busy on the wall, but it didnt take the enormity of it away, it was also really really steep at places. Claire and i didnt walk very far, the others went ahead and we caught up with them later.

Then we got a rollercoaster/slide down to the bottom of the hill!! It was ace and fun and who can say they have done that eh!

Right i have to go shortly, but i will just add we have been out for dumplings for tea tonight and again it was cheap cheap!!! Have to go back to the hotel and pack, up at 5 tomorrow to be picked up to go to Mongolia! Ill email when i can XXX
