Fabulous Florence !! Man it was hot but girls were amazing. Walked and walked, a 12 hour day! Frankie and Lana tag teamed the pram for several sleeps with a few scuffles in-between. Headed straight for the duoma area which was streaming with tourists, but it is seriously magnificent. We persevered and went inside for some relief from the heat. Then it was Frankie's turn to spot 'nude david' , Michelangelo's David!
The favorite was the romantic bridge vecchinio ponte where Gab insisted Bettsy and I have a smooch and Jaz helped me choose some pretty drop ear-rings. They'd almost had it by then but nothing like a gelato to lift spirits. We'd reserved tickets for the Affizi but really could have skipped it as it was purely renaissance art so of course all biblical, a bit wasted on us. Girls starting to realise how religious italians are!! Many madonnas and child.
Bit of shopping on the side, girls bought scarves, and loved checking out the frocks and helping my buy sandals. They were all really wonderful.
Grabbed a great pasta dinner on route home , lovely Italians, so gorgeous with girls. Annoying not being able to speak the lango!! Wanted to get to the bobbili gardens but couldn't fit it in.
