Day out visiting 3 little pretty villages in southern Tuscany. Couldn't have picked a hotter day! Lord. Wont be hurrying to do that again. Underestimated how far away they were and how damn hot it gets between 12 and 4 pm. Must have been well over 30.
At Montalcino, the first village, we climbed the fort and had a beautiful view of the undulating vineyards. What is it about always wanting to climb up, whether kid or adult?!
Pienza, village number two, we didn't even stop, all asleep in the car, decided it wasn't worth waking them.
Stopped at Montepulciano for an especially yummy pasta lunch, we even enjoyed a local glass of wine.
Jaz said to me tonight 'mum, thank you so much for taking on thus amazing trip to see the world, it is so oh wonderful'. Such a treasure and I know she really does appreciate it.
All enjoying having more time to chill. Evening card games are a hoot. Gabi so excited when winning yet so bummed when not. Frankie is onto the tactics, she is growing up !!
