Such a great day, maybe our best yet!! Started with a quick walk, bettsy and I tag teamed. Full spread for petit dejiner, served in the richly decorated dining room by the 'maid'. Very posh. Madame Picou is lovely ! She greeted the girls in french. Already the castle feels different. Clearly we have the run of the joint, as no-one else here.
Castle time. Usse first- sleeping beauty fairy castle. Big hit with the Aurora story and women dressed in period gear. Chinon second which was all about battles and Joan of arc which jaz lapped up, loving the story of a strong woman leading the charge and freeing France from the English. Back at the ramshackled castle we had a quick swim then out for dins.
Dinner! The first authentic French meal fir girls... Snails! They all loved them esp the butter sauce except bettsy and Lana. Great joint. Girls in bed at 10! It's all so late here because of the sun. Breakie 9/930.
