Day eight:
We went down and met the clan around 10:30 at a different beach which had golden sand and was more of a surfing beach than a snorkeling beach. Went into the sea, which was extremely salty, and did a bit of bodysurfing! Got into the wave washing machine on a couple of occasions which was quite exhilarating!
Went to a lovely restaurant around 12:30 and had the chicken wing appetizer which was lovely, but for the first time over here was appetizer size and did not sufficiently fill me! We headed back to the ranch and Steph and I got ready for out date at the royal kona resort (which was a surprise for
Steph)! We got down there at 17:50 which was frustrating as I wanted to be down for half 5 but the taxi driver was late, meaning that we missed the sunset!! Nonetheless we had a lovely time and Steph was made up. We sat right along the sea front under flame torch light! We had a delightful waitor, Douglas, who served us a couple of cocktails. We shared our meals, with a lovely trio of fish starters (seared tuna, crab cakes and king prawns) for main we had steak and Mai Mai (local large green fish- as seen on Robson green's extreme fishing!) - steak was average but fish was excellent! Afterwards we retired to the sea front bar and washed our food down with another couple of cocktails whilst watching the ocean crash against the rocks!! Amazing!
Called it a night relatively early as we were both tipsy and tired from the sea air!
